BELTS
"Belt to Last"....and to carry the load.
Made of two layers of the finest Wickett & Craig leather, glued and stitched together, they are very close to 1/4" thick.
The standard width of these belts is 1-1/2", but I do make them other widths on request.
The second row of stitching adds another noticeable degree of stiffness to the belt, but I can do just a single row of stitching if you're after a more "dressier" look.
I furnish a brass or silver buckle as shown, and they are attached with Chicago screws, so all that's needed is a screw driver to swap out another buckle if you so choose.
Stitching can be done in white, or to match the dyed leather.
LIFETIME WARRANTY
I am so confindent in the high quality of my belts that I offer the following:
If you should encounter a problem with your belt, let's talk it over. If we determine the problem is due to my workmanship, I will repair or replace the belt.
"WOW...these must cost an arm and a leg!!"....not so....
For these two-layered stitched belts, I charge $57 for up to 44" of belt size....upwards of 44" add $2 per inch.
(plus shipping, usually $6-$8 depending on location)
Horsehide belts.....I have now found a source for horsehide that enables me to make belts for just s few dollars more than the cost of a steerhide one.
My horsehide belts are made by laminating the top layer (outside layer) of horsehide to an inside layer of cowhide, then stitched. The result is very close to 1/4" in thickness.
I have determined that this method of construction makes for a more stable and firmer belt.
